Welcome to Our Website!

Welcome to Jagels Farms and our new website. We hope you find the site informative. Please contact us with any questions. We will try to give monthly updates on what is happening.

We have had a good growing season thus far for our corn and soybeans. Rains have been timely and beneficial, so we haven’t had to irrigate too much. Our corn crop is in the early dough stage and soybeans are filling pods. As both crops mature, the plants are putting more energy in filling the grain. Harvest should start in 6 weeks with soybeans first, and corn to follow.

On the livestock side, we have weaned some heifer calves that will be sold in October for show prospects and kept to be bred for cows. We also have given the calves their preconditioning shots before we wean them, to help strengthen their immune system. We also ultra sound the cows, to see if they are bred and when their expected due date is.

School will start shortly, so Suzanne is busy getting ready for kids. We are getting the harvest equipment ready for harvest, and preparing the lots for weaned calves.
